Welcome: What NA Recovery Chat is All About

Our purpose is to carry the message of hope and the promise of freedom to the still sick and suffering addicts who want to find a new way to live.

There is hope! Just for today, we never HAVE to use again. Here, we share from a wealth of experience. Many of us have found it to be true that we can not only stop using drugs, but also lose the desire to use! For any addict, that really is huge, if you think about it. Most of us, in our active addiction, devoted our entire waking day to not just using drugs, but finding ways and means to get more- with very little (if any) sense of peace at all. Many of us began to feel less than human in our ritualistic and animalistic ways. Feelings like hope and love and even sadness were but fleeting recollections of ways we used to feel long before we ever used drugs.

Through the NA program, we are able to find peace with ourselves and to feel fully human again, embracing hope, love, and, yes, even sadness- for at least we are not numb to everything. It is a blessing to feel human and to be free of the horrors of active addiction. In our online meetings in the chatroom, and on our Message Boards, we share what it used to be like and how different it is now, and how we got where we are. We hope you'll join us!
